A snowy mountainous environment I made in Unreal Engine 5, following the Environment Artist's Survival Kit 2.0 course by Stylized Station and Justin Wallace!
At many points I had to extrapolate and tailor the course's teachings due to the contrast in the environments created- I had to create different terrain materials, different foliage, and different lighting/post-process setups. I also learned a bunch of new tools for this process- Trees were modeled in TreeIt, environment textures were made with Material Maker, rocks were sculpted in Blender and textured with the Ucupaint extension.
I also took it upon myself to learn additional techniques after completing the course- such as using sprite sheets and Sub-UVs for snowflake particles, and adding LODs (including custom-built billboards) to the tree models for better performance.
